Ingredients

Scale

2 tablespoons olive oil provides richness and prevents burning

4 tablespoons butter provides richness and prevents burning

45 large garlic cloves, minced (or 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic) adds depth and brightness

1 1/4 pounds large shrimp or prawns, shelled (tails on or off) delivers protein and key nutrients

Pinch of salt (to taste)

Pinch of cracked black pepper (to taste)

1/4 cup dry white wine or broth

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tablespoons lemon juice adds depth and brightness

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1-Heat 2 tablespoons of the butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

2-Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.

3-Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.

4-Flip the shrimp carefully.

5-Pour in the white wine or broth and add the red pepper flakes if you’re using them.

6-Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes until the liquid reduces by half and the shrimp are fully cooked.

8-Remove from heat right away to keep the shrimp tender.

9-Serve over options like rice, pasta, or steamed vegetables such as cauliflower or zucchini noodles.

Notes

⏱️ Have all ingredients prepped and ready near the stove, as shrimp cook very quickly to avoid toughness.
🧈 Using a combination of butter and oil prevents the butter from burning for better flavor.
🍷 Use quality dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or Chardonnay; broth can be a good substitute.
