– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
– 1/4 cup water
– 2 tablespoons cornstarch
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 4 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
Instructions
1-Gather and prepare all ingredients; mince garlic and ginger, and slice green onions for garnish.
2-Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the ground beef and break it apart.
3-Cook the beef until browned and done, about 7-10 minutes, and drain excess fat if needed.
4-Stir in minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until it smells amazing.
5-Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, and hoisin sauce, stirring to coat the beef, and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6-Add green onions and mix well, saving some for topping.
7-Remove from heat and serve hot over rice or veggies; garnish with the reserved onions.
