🎀 Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any romantic occasion, these sweets combine elegance with delightful flavors.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 35 minutes
  • Yield: 10 sandwiched macarons

Ingredients

– 60 grams egg whites at room temperature

– 65 grams almond flour

– 75 grams powdered sugar

– 55 grams granulated sugar

– One quarter of a basic buttercream recipe

– Half teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

1-Prepare your workstation: Prepare your workstation by sifting almond flour and powdered sugar together to ensure a smooth batter free of lumps.

2-Whip egg whites: Whip the egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add granulated sugar while continuing to whip until stiff peaks develop.

3-Fold mixture: Gently fold the dry mixture into the meringue until it reaches a shiny, flowing consistency.

4-Pipe batter: Transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe small, uniform circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5-Tap and rest: Tap the baking sheet on the counter to release air bubbles and let the macarons rest at room temperature for 30-60 minutes until a skin forms.

6-Bake: Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F) and bake for 15-18 minutes.

7-Cool and fill: Allow the macarons to cool completely before filling with cinnamon buttercream and sandwiching them together.
