Ingredients
– 12 ladyfingers
– 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (alternatives include dark rum or Marsala wine)
– 8 oz mascarpone cheese
– 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup brewed or espresso coffee (cooled)
– 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
1-Combine mascarpone cheese and confectioners sugar in a bowl, mixing until smooth.
2-Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
3-Spoon or pipe a layer of the mascarpone cream into shooter glasses.
4-Break ladyfingers into small pieces, briefly dip them in coffee liqueur, and place on the mascarpone layer.
5-Repeat layering with mascarpone cream and dipped ladyfinger pieces.
6-Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour (preferably overnight) to set and meld flavors.
7-Dust with cocoa powder just before serving.
