🍓 Enjoy a refreshing Southern classic with a sweet twist from fresh strawberries for a delightful summer beverage.
🧊 This Southern Strawberry Sweet Iced Tea is perfect for cooling off with natural fruit flavors and balanced sweetness.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings

Ingredients

– 4 to 5 family-size tea bags

– 6 cups water (divided)

– 4 cups ripe strawberries (yields about 1 cup of juice)

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– Frozen or fresh strawberries and mint (optional garnish)

Instructions

1-First off, brew 4 cups of your chosen tea by steeping the tea bags in hot water at 175-212°F for 3-5 minutes, then let it cool this gives you that robust base we love.

2-While that’s cooling, wash, hull, and slice those fresh strawberries to get every bit of flavor out.

3-Next, pop those sliced strawberries into a food processor and puree them until smooth for that fruity punch.

4-Strain the puree through a fine sieve to ditch the seeds, or keep it pulpy if you like a bit of texture in your drink.

5-In a big pitcher, mix the cooled tea with the strawberry puree, lemon juice if you’re adding it, and your sweetener stir it all up good and proper.

6-Pop in ice cubes right before serving, or add them to glasses for that extra chill.

7-For folks with special diets, swap sweeteners for vegan picks or go with green tea for less caffeine.

8-Finally, garnish with strawberry slices or a lemon wedge and pour it up it’s ready to enjoy!

Notes

🍓 Use large, ripe, juicy strawberries for the best flavor.
❄️ Frozen strawberries can double as ice cubes to prevent dilution while enhancing flavor.
🍵 Adding a pinch of baking soda to the tea before mixing can help keep the tea crisp and fresh.
