  • Yield: Approximately 24 bites 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2 to 1-inch rounds
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 sheet puff pastry dough or crescent roll dough
1 large egg
1 tablespoon water
1 to 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine barbecue sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined and heated through.
2. Add sliced kielbasa to the sauce and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until the kielbasa is heated and glazed.
3. Thaw the puff pastry or crescent roll dough. Preheat the oven to 400Β°F.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash. Brush onto the thawed dough.
5. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out stars from the dough. Wrap each kielbasa slice with a dough star, or reserve stars for dipping.
6. Optional: Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top of the dough stars.
7. Arrange wrapped kielbasa bites on a parchment-lined baking tray. Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
8. Serve warm with additional sauce for dipping if desired.
