Ingredients
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, cinnamon, celery salt, and cayenne pepper.
2. Break up any clumps to ensure an even mixture. Store the rub in an airtight container for up to one month.
3. Before using, shake or mix the rub to maintain consistency.
4. To apply, use 1 to 2 tablespoons per rack of ribs. Rub evenly on all sides, then wrap the ribs in plastic wrap.
5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld.
6. When ready to grill, preheat your grill to 350-400°F and lightly oil the rack.
7. Unwrap the ribs and place them on the grill. Cook for about 40 minutes, turning occasionally.
8. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving to lock in moisture and flavor.
