  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: About 24 cookies

Ingredients

– 1 cup butter, softened provides creaminess and structure

– 3/4 cup white sugar adds sweetness and binding

– 3/4 cup packed brown sugar adds sweetness and binding

– 2 eggs adds sweetness and binding

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter provides creaminess and structure

– 1/3 cup cocoa powder

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips enhances chocolate-peanut flavor

– 1 cup peanut butter chips enhances chocolate-peanut flavor

– 10 regular-sized peanut butter cups or about 20-25 small cups, cut into pieces enhances chocolate-peanut flavor

– 1 cup mini peanut butter cups enhances chocolate-peanut flavor

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C): Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats to prevent sticking.

2-In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda; set aside for later use.

3-In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with white and brown sugars using an electric mixer until fluffy and well combined.

4-Add vanilla extract, smooth peanut butter, and eggs, mixing everything well until smooth.

5-Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined; the dough will be thick, so keep using your mixer if needed.

6-Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and pieces of peanut butter cups by hand for even distribution.

7-Using an ice cream scoop, place portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.

8-Bake for 11-13 minutes, then let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack.
