  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

34 oz lobster tails

8 oz lobster claw meat

1 large or 2 medium minced shallots

1.5 serrano peppers (1 minced and 1/2 sliced)

1.5 tablespoons butter

1 finely minced celery rib

1/3 cup Japanese mayonnaise

1/4 cup chives

1/4 tablespoon fresh dill

1/4 teaspoon honey

A few squirts of hot sauce

5 tablespoons unsalted butter

Zest and a splash of juice from 1 lemon

Salt and pepper to taste

1214 brioche slider buns

Instructions

1-Getting these mini lobster rolls just right is simple and fun, starting with prepping the lobster meat. First, remove the lobster meat from the tails and claws, then chop it into bite-sized pieces and season it with salt and pepper. This step helps bring out the flavors while keeping the texture tender and juicy if you add spiced chicken sandwich ideas for inspiration on seasoning proteins.

2-Next, preheat a pan on high for 2 minutes, add 1 tablespoon of butter, and reduce the heat to medium-high. Sauté the lobster tail meat for 1-2 minutes until it’s nicely colored, then toss in the claw meat and a bit of za’atar for extra flavor. Once that’s done, remove it from the heat.

3-In the same pan, add 3 tablespoons of butter along with the minced shallots and serrano peppers, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they soften. Return the lobster meat to the pan with a splash of lemon juice, then turn off the heat. In a bowl, mix the lobster mixture with the Japanese mayonnaise, lemon zest, chives, celery, dill, and hot sauce for that creamy finish.

4-Finally, slice the brioche slider buns on two opposite sides to create a toasting surface and make a slit down the middle. Spread the remaining butter on them and toast until golden. The whole process is straightforward, and you’ll have delicious rolls ready to serve 12 people in no time.
