🌮 This Easy Layered Taco Bake combines savory layers of seasoned ground beef, cheese, and tortillas for a hearty family meal.
🍽️ Quick to assemble and bake, it’s a perfect solution for busy weeknights when you want delicious comfort food fast.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef provides savory base and protein

– 1 packet taco seasoning adds authentic spice and flavor

– Water as directed on the seasoning packet (typically ¾ cup)

– ½ cup salsa con queso creates creamy layers and melts beautifully

– 3 (8-inch) flour tortillas forms the structure of the layers

– 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend creates creamy layers and melts beautifully

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather all ingredients, including your protein, veggies, cheese, tortillas, and seasoning. This step sets the stage for a seamless cooking process.

2-In a skillet, cook the ground beef with taco seasoning until it’s browned and aromatic, which takes about 7-10 minutes. Remember to drain any excess fat to keep the layers from getting too greasy.

3-Prepare the beans and diced tomatoes by mixing them lightly with the cooked meat, blending the flavors together for a rich filling.

4-In a greased baking dish, layer the tortillas to cover the base, then add the meat mixture, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheese. Repeat these layers until you use all ingredients, ending with cheese on top for a gooey finish.

5-Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles perfectly. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving to make slicing easier.

6-Serve with fresh toppings like avocado or cilantro to add extra zest, and consider adaptations for dietary needs, such as using vegan substitutes.
