⏱️ Quick to make with simple ingredients, this recipe lets you enjoy fresh, crunchy kettle corn in just minutes.

  • Total Time: 7 minutes
  • Yield: About 4 cups

Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or preferred cooking oil for even heating and popping the kernels

– 1/4 cup popcorn kernels the main base that pops into light, crunchy pieces

– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar to caramelize and add the sweet element

– 1/4 teaspoon salt for balancing the sweetness and enhancing flavor

Instructions

1-Set a large bowl nearby to transfer the popped kettle corn once it’s done.

2-Heat the oil in the pot over medium-high until it’s hot, tested by adding 3 popcorn kernels and waiting for them to pop.

3-Add the remaining 1/4 cup popcorn kernels to the pot and shake to coat them with the oil.

4-Sprinkle 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt over the kernels, then cover and shake for 3 seconds, rest for 3 seconds, and repeat until popping starts.

5-Shake the pot almost continuously while it pops, pausing to listen for the sounds.

6-When pops slow to about 2 seconds apart, remove the pot from the heat right away.

7-Transfer the popcorn to the bowl immediately to avoid burning, and let it cool briefly before serving.
