🍥 Enjoy soft, fluffy Easy Cinnamon Rolls made from scratch with simple, wholesome ingredients.
🍯 These cinnamon rolls offer a perfect balance of sweet, spicy filling and creamy icing, ideal for any cozy morning or special occasion.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 5 minutes
  • Yield: 10-12 rolls 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup whole milk

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 and 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast

1 large egg

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/3 cup packed light or dark brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

4 ounces full-fat cream cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2/3 cup confectioners’ sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

1-First, in a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt together. This sets the base for your dough. Next, heat the milk and butter until the butter melts and the mixture reaches about 110°F, then stir in the yeast until it dissolves.

2-Add the warm milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms. Knead this dough on a floured surface for 3-5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rest for 10 minutes.

3-Roll the dough into a 14×8 inch rectangle and spread the softened butter over it evenly. That buttery layer is what makes these rolls so rich and delicious.

4-Combine the cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle it over the buttered dough. Roll the dough into a 14-inch log and cut it into 10-12 even rolls. Place these rolls in a greased 9 or 10-inch pan, cover them, and let them rise in a warm spot for 60-90 minutes until they double in size.

5-Preheat your oven to 375°F and bake the rolls for 24-27 minutes, covering with foil if they brown too quickly. While the rolls bake, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla for the icing.

6-Spread the icing over the warm rolls and serve right away. The total preparation time is about 2 hours and 5 minutes, including rising and baking.
