Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine thawed hash browns, melted butter, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion, 1 ½ cups of cheese, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly mixed.
3. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining ½ cup of cheese.
4. Bake for 30-55 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
5. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
