🍔 Hamburger Supreme Casserole is a hearty and cheesy comfort food perfect for busy weeknight meals.
🧀 Combining ground beef, cheese, and pasta, this casserole is easy to prepare and reheats well for leftovers.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon thyme

1 can (4 ounces) mushrooms

2 cups uncooked macaroni pasta

8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated or shredded

Instructions

1-Brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet until the meat is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender. Drain any excess fat to keep the dish from becoming greasy.

2-Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, then drain and set it aside for layering later.

3-In the same skillet, stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, thyme, and mushrooms with the drained hamburger mixture. Let it simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.

4-In a 2-quart casserole dish, create layers: Start with half of the hamburger mixture, followed by half of the cooked macaroni, and then half of the cheese. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, saving some cheese for the top.

5-Bake uncovered in a preheated 350°F oven for 20 minutes, or until everything is heated through.

6-Sprinkle the reserved cheese on top and return to the oven just until it melts, adding that perfect gooey finish.
