Instructions
1-Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil, then spray with non-stick spray.
2-In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup granulated white sugar, 1/2 cup all-purpose white flour, 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
3-In a small bowl, whisk 2 large eggs, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until combined, then add to the dry mixture and stir until just mixed. Reserve 1/4 cup of batter for swirling and pour the rest into the pan.
4-In a separate bowl, blend 8 oz cream cheese, 1/4 cup granulated white sugar, 1 large egg, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth, then mix in orange food coloring to reach your desired shade.
5-Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the brownie batter.
6-Drop tablespoons of the reserved brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and gently swirl with a knife or skewer.
7-Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set, then cool completely in the pan before slicing.
