🍄 This Ground Turkey Stroganoff offers a lighter, flavorful alternative to traditional beef stroganoff with a creamy mushroom sauce.
🍝 Perfect for a comforting and hearty meal, it’s quick to prepare and pairs wonderfully with egg noodles.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons butter

– 1 small onion, chopped (about ½ cup)

– 7 ounces baby bellas or white mushrooms, thinly sliced

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 pound ground turkey

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1 ½ cups chicken broth

– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

– ½ cup full-fat sour cream

– 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley

– 12 ounces dry egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions

1-First, melt the butter in a 12-inch non-stick pan over medium heat and add the onions and mushrooms. Cook them for 7-10 minutes until they brown, stirring often, then set them aside on a plate.

2-Next, in a small bowl, whisk the chicken broth and flour until it’s smooth and lump-free.

3-Then, turn the heat up to medium-high and add the olive oil to the pan. Brown the ground turkey for 5-8 minutes, breaking it apart and seasoning with salt and pepper. Stir in the garlic and paprika, cooking for just 30 seconds to release their aroma.

4-After that, pour in the chicken broth mixture and bring it to a simmer. Add the mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce, season to taste, and let it simmer for about 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

5-Finally, take the pan off the heat and mix in the sour cream and parsley gently before serving over cooked egg noodles.
