Dry sauté the mushrooms first without butter to help release excess moisture and achieve a better caramelization.
Avoid overcrowding the pan to make sure the mushrooms cook evenly and turn golden brown instead of steaming.
Stir sparingly to allow the mushrooms to develop a rich, deep flavor and crisp edges.
