– 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley, preferably flat-leaf parsley provides a burst of freshness and color

– 1/8 teaspoon sea salt enhances the overall flavors

– 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese for a cheesy topping added during the last 2 minutes of baking

– 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese another cheesy option for the last 2 minutes of baking

Instructions

1-Slice the 1-pound loaf lengthwise into two even halves.

2-In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter, 4 finely minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley, and 1/8 teaspoon sea salt.

3-Spread the mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

4-Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the edges are golden brown.

5-For the optional cheesy topping, add 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese or 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese during the last 2 minutes of baking to melt it perfectly.

6-Once baked, remove from the oven, cool slightly, and slice into 1-inch pieces for serving.
