½ cup ketchup
¼ cup red pepper jelly
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ cup cinnamon-flavored whiskey
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon BBQ seasoning
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together ketchup, red pepper jelly, sugar, cider vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 3 minutes.
3. Add the cinnamon-flavored whiskey and simmer for an additional 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Prepare the grill and season both sides of the chicken with BBQ seasoning.
5. Grill the chicken until almost cooked through, about 8 to 10 minutes.
6. Baste the chicken with the whiskey glaze and cook for 2 more minutes.
7. Flip the chicken, baste again, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
8. Remove the chicken from the grill and serve with the remaining glaze.
