Ingredients
– 1 white onion sliced
– 4 medium red potatoes washed and thinly sliced
– 2 medium carrots peeled and thinly sliced
– 1 stalk celery sliced
– 2 cloves garlic minced
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 3 tablespoons butter sliced
– 1/2 cup uncooked white rice
– 1 can condensed tomato soup
– 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
– koshersalt to taste
– freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1-First, start by adding the sliced onions, potatoes, carrots, and celery to the crockpot. Drizzle them with the olive oil and minced garlic, then toss everything until it’s well coated for that extra flavor boost.
2-Next, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, seasoning it with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to lock in the taste.
3-Stir in the Worcestershire sauce once the beef is browned, then spread it evenly over the vegetable layer in the crockpot. Top that with the sliced butter and sprinkle the uncooked white rice over the beef for a nice base.
4-Mix the condensed tomato soup with 1 1/2 cups of water and pour it over the rice layer to add sauciness and help everything cook perfectly.
5-Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 4 hours until all ingredients are tender.
6-When it’s done, uncover, sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top, cover again, turn off the crockpot, and let it sit until the cheese melts. This method keeps the cheese gooey without overcooking the rest.

🍚 Don’t skip the butter slices – they add richness and help prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom
