Instructions
1-Wash, peel, and slice 2 pounds of fresh carrots into 1/2 inch pieces for even cooking.
2-In a bowl, whisk together the glaze by mixing 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg until smooth.
3-Place the sliced carrots in the slow cooker and coat them evenly with the prepared glaze mixture.
4-Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours until the carrots are tender.
5-To thicken the glaze, remove the lid and cook uncovered on HIGH for an additional 15 minutes.
6-Optionally, add 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley as a garnish before serving for a fresh touch.
