🍤 Shrimp Wontons Recipe offers a crispy and flavorful appetizer that’s simple to prepare and perfect for entertaining.
🥢 The accompanying dipping sauce balances salty, sweet, and spicy notes, enhancing the crunchy wonton cones and fresh shrimp filling.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 12 wonton cones

Ingredients

– 200 grams shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 12 wonton wrappers

– 1 cup mixed salad greens, chopped

– 1 teaspoon salt

– ½ teaspoon black pepper

– 1 teaspoon preferred spices (such as paprika or garlic powder)

– 1 cup oil for frying

– 3 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

– 1 teaspoon sugar

– ½ teaspoon chili flakes or minced garlic (optional)

Instructions

1-First, season the shrimp with 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon preferred spices, then cook thoroughly in a pan over medium heat until pink and firm.

2-Next, shape each of the 12 wonton wrappers into a cone form, using a mold or your hands for support.

3-Once the shrimp is ready, mix in the 1 cup chopped mixed salad greens.

4-Fill the wonton cones with the cooked shrimp and greens mixture.

5-For cooking, fry the filled cones in 1 cup hot oil until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes, or use an air fryer at 200°C (390°F) for 5-7 minutes as a lighter option.

6-Prepare the dipping sauce by combining 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sugar, and ½ teaspoon chili flakes or minced garlic if desired.

7-Serve the cones alongside the sauce for the best experience.
