  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 18 crab rangoons

Ingredients

– 5 ounces crab meat, drained (canned, fresh, or packaged)

– 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1 green onion, finely sliced

– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

– 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)

– ½ teaspoon garlic powder

– 18 wonton wrappers

– Oil for frying

Instructions

1-First Step: Prepare all ingredients by shredding crab meat and softening the cream cheese at room temperature.

2-Second Step: In a bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.

3-Third Step: Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface and spoon about a teaspoon of filling into the center.

4-Fourth Step: Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold into a triangle, and seal tightly to avoid leakage.

5-Fifth Step: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry the rangoon in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

6-Sixth Step: Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.

7-Seventh Step: Serve warm with dipping sauce of your choice, such as sweet chili or soy sauce.

8-Final Step: To accommodate dietary preferences, try baking at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes for a healthier option, or use substitutions as described earlier.
