🧄 Cheesy Garlic Bread features a crispy golden crust paired with rich melted cheeses for an irresistible snack or side dish.
🧀 This recipe blends fresh garlic and quality cheeses, making it a perfect complement to any meal or a delicious treat on its own.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 loaf (14 oz) French or Italian bread

1/4 cup softened salted butter (or unsalted butter plus 1/8 tsp salt)

2 tablespoons olive oil (refined or extra virgin)

2 teaspoons fresh minced garlic or 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley (or dried)

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C). Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place it cut side up on overlapping sheets of foil on a rimmed baking sheet.

2-In a bowl, mix softened butter, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.

3-Spread the mixture evenly over both halves of the bread, making sure to cover the edges for full flavor.

4-Wrap the bread tightly in the foil and bake for 10 minutes to soften it nicely.

5-Carefully unwrap the foil and fold it inward loosely. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the bread.

6-Bake uncovered for another 5 to 6 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.

7-For extra crispiness, broil for 1 to 2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning. Finally, sprinkle parsley on top, slice, and serve warm.
