🧀 This recipe is quick to prepare and perfect for a hearty snack or an easy meal packed with protein, veggies, and gooey cheese.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 1 loaf of frozen French garlic bread

– 12 ounces (about 340 grams) of thinly sliced cheesesteak meat (typically ribeye)

– 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

– 2 cups shredded provolone cheese

– 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped

– 1 medium onion, finely chopped

– Garlic powder, to taste

– Onion powder, to taste

– Salt, to taste

– Pepper, to taste

– Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

1-Bake the frozen garlic bread: Bake the frozen garlic bread according to the package instructions, leaving the oven on for later use.

2-In a skillet over medium-high heat: Cook the cheesesteak meat until browned, then drain any excess fat to keep things from getting greasy.

3-Season the meat: Season the meat with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then set aside for a flavorful boost.

4-Using the same skillet: Sauté the finely chopped green bell pepper and onion in olive oil until tender and translucent.

5-Spread a layer of shredded provolone cheese: on the baked garlic bread, then evenly layer the seasoned meat and sautéed vegetables over the cheese.

6-Add another layer of provolone cheese: on top and place back in the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese melts and turns slightly golden.
