🧀 Enjoy savory Cheeseburger Pretzel Bombs packed with juicy meatballs and gooey cheese for a delicious bite.
🥨 This recipe combines soft pretzel dough with a hearty filling, perfect for parties or a fun snack at home.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 14 pretzel bombs

Ingredients

– 1 lb pizza dough, left out at room temperature for 15-20 minutes

– 7 slices American cheese, cut in half

– 14 frozen mini meatballs, thawed

– ¼ cup baking soda

– 5 cups water

– 1 egg, beaten

– Coarse sea salt

– Yellow mustard for serving (optional)

Instructions

1-Preheat oven to 425˚F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2-Cut pizza dough into 14 evenly sized pieces and stretch each into an 8-inch long strip.

3-Place a half slice of cheese and one mini meatball at the top of a dough strip, then roll up tightly to fully encase the cheese and meatball. Seal gaps by pressing dough edges together and place rolls on the prepared baking sheet.

4-Bring 5 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan, add ¼ cup baking soda, and stir to dissolve before returning to a boil.

5-Boil the dough balls in batches for 20-30 seconds, stirring gently, then remove and dry on paper towels before returning them to the baking sheet.

6-Brush each ball with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.

7-Bake for 15-20 minutes until browned on the outside, then serve warm with yellow mustard if desired.
