  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 2 skinless boneless chicken breasts for the main protein

– 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning to coat the chicken for that spicy flavor

– 2 tablespoons of olive oil for cooking the chicken to golden perfection

– 2 tablespoons of butter to melt and start the sauce base

– 1 clove of garlic minced and sautéed for aromatic depth

– 500ml (2 cups) of heavy cream added to create the creamy sauce

– 120g (1 1/4 cups) of freshly grated Parmesan cheese stirred in to thicken the sauce

– 450g (1 lb) of fettuccine pasta cooked in salted water as the base

– Salt to taste for seasoning and balancing flavors

– 125ml (1/2 cup) of pasta water reserved to loosen the sauce as needed

Instructions

1-Prepare all ingredients by measuring and chopping the chicken breasts, mincing garlic, and grating Parmesan cheese to ensure a smooth cooking process.

2-Cook the 450g (1 lb) of fettuccine pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside, reserving 125ml (1/2 cup) of pasta water.

3-Season the 2 skinless boneless chicken breasts evenly with 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

4-Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until thoroughly cooked and browned.

5-Remove chicken from the skillet, let it rest, then slice into strips.

6-In the same skillet, add the 1 clove of minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Pour in 500ml (2 cups) of heavy cream and simmer gently for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.

7-Stir in 120g (1 1/4 cups) of freshly grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning as needed with salt.

8-Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken back into the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce, using reserved pasta water as needed to loosen it.

9-For dietary adaptations, substitute chicken for plant-based protein, use dairy-free cream, or gluten-free pasta as needed.

10-Serve hot and enjoy immediately for the best taste.
