  • Total Time: 25 minutes plus freezing time
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

4 eggs

1.5 cups sugar

1/2 can (about 7 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1.5 tablespoons vanilla extract

4 cups milk for creamy texture

3/4 cup chopped pecans for crunch and flavor

3 tablespoons butter for crunch and flavor

1 tablespoon sugar for crunch and flavor

Instructions

1- Beat the eggs and sugar together first to form a solid foundation.

2- Add the vanilla, milk, and condensed milk, blending well for even flavor distribution.

3- Cool the mixture quickly in an ice bath if cooked, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

4- Pour into an ice cream maker and process as per the machine’s instructions, usually around 20-30 minutes.

5- Melt 3 tablespoons butter in a pan, add 1 tablespoon sugar, and stir until dissolved before mixing in 3/4 cup chopped pecans.

6- Reduce heat and stir the pecans gently for about 5 minutes until toasted, then let them cool.

7- Add the pecans a few minutes before the ice cream is done in the machine.

8- Serve right away or freeze for 2-4 hours; for a caramel swirl, layer the ice cream with caramel and swirl gently.
