  • Total Time: 3 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: 9 pop tarts

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 cup milk

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1-Prepare the Ingredients: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook 140g medium egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain noodles and vegetables; set aside.

2-Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add 1 small onion, finely chopped, and sauté until translucent.

3-Add the Protein: Increase heat to medium-high and add 200g sliced chicken breast. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink.

4-Combine Noodles and Sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, along with 1/4 cup soy sauce and 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, stirring to combine.

Notes

🧊 Use cold butter and chilled dough to maximize flakiness.
🥚 Egg wash helps seal and adhere filling, giving a glossy finish.
🔪 Poking holes on the top pastry layer lets steam escape and prevents sogginess.
