🥩🥬 Whip up a quick, savory beef cabbage stir fry packed with lean protein, crisp veggies, and bold Asian flavors!
🍲 Low-carb, budget-friendly dinner ready in 30 minutes – healthier and tastier than takeout every time.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

– 1 tablespoon sriracha

– 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar

– 1/2 head green cabbage

– 2 carrots

– 3 green onions

– 1/2 tablespoon neutral cooking oil

– 1/2 pound lean ground beef

– 2 cloves garlic

– 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger

– pinch of salt

– pinch of pepper

– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

– 1 tablespoon sriracha

Instructions

1-First Step: Mix the stir fry sauce ingredients. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil, 1 tablespoon sriracha, and 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar. Stir until the brown sugar dissolves and the sauce looks evenly mixed.

2-Second Step: Prep your stir-fry ingredients. Shred 1/2 head green cabbage and shred or julienne the 2 carrots. Slice 3 green onions, mince 2 cloves garlic, and grate 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger. Having everything ready before the skillet heats up makes the cooking part super smooth.

3-Third Step: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1/2 tablespoon neutral cooking oil. Once the oil is hot, add 1/2 pound lean ground beef, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, and a pinch of salt plus a pinch of pepper. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it up as it cooks so it browns evenly.

4-Fourth Step: Add cabbage and carrots. Stir in the shredded cabbage and carrots. Cook until the cabbage is slightly wilted, which usually takes a few minutes. You want it tender but still a little lively, not mushy.

5-Fifth Step: Pour in the sauce and finish cooking. Pour the prepared stir fry sauce into the skillet. Add the sliced green onions, then stir to combine everything evenly. Let it cook just long enough for the sauce to coat the cabbage and beef, and for the onions to warm through.

6-Final Step: Garnish and serve. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sesame seeds on top. If you like extra heat, drizzle 1 tablespoon sriracha over the finished dish before serving.
