🥧 This recipe makes it easy to create individual banana pudding cups that are both flavorful and visually appealing.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: Makes 9 servings

Ingredients

– 1 (5.1 oz.) box banana instant pudding mix

– 2 1/2 cups cold whole milk

– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

– 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

– 2 (8 oz.) tubs whipped topping, thawed

– 4 bananas

– 18 shortbread cookies (or vanilla cookies if preferred)

– 9 shortbread cookies and banana slices for garnish (Optional)

Instructions

1-Organize jars or cups: Organize jars or cups into an assembly line workstation to keep things efficient.

2-In a large mixing bowl: In a large mixing bowl, pour the banana instant pudding mix, cold whole milk, and vanilla extract; whisk until combined and thickened.

3-Whisk in the sweetened condensed milk: Whisk in the sweetened condensed milk until fully blended.

4-Fold in one tub of whipped topping: Fold in one tub of whipped topping until fully combined; reserve the second tub for layering and decorating.

5-Slice bananas: Slice bananas into 1/4-inch thick rounds for even layers.

6-At the assembly line: cover the bottom of each jar with cookie or broken cookie pieces.

7-Add a layer of banana slices: Add a layer of banana slices to cover the cookies completely.

8-Spoon in a layer of banana pudding: Spoon in a layer of banana pudding, making sure to cover the bananas fully to protect them from air exposure.

9-Place a dollop of whipped topping: Place a dollop of whipped topping over the pudding, spreading it to the edges of the jar.

10-Repeat the layers: Repeat the layers: cookie, banana slices, pudding, and whipped topping until the jars are filled.

11-If serving right away: decorate the tops with a cookie and a couple of banana slices, then serve within 20-30 minutes.

12-If serving later: skip the final whipped topping dollop, cover the jars tightly, and add decoration just before serving.

13-Store the prepared cups: Store the prepared cups tightly sealed in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
