🔥 Quick and simple, it cooks in one pan, making it ideal for busy weeknights or effortless meal prep.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

– ½ teaspoon salt

– ¼ teaspoon black pepper

– ⅔ cup clear honey

– ¼ cup low sodium chicken broth (or water as a substitute)

– 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce

– 2 tablespoons minced garlic

– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

– ¼ teaspoon salt

– 1 tablespoon corn starch

– Red pepper flakes (optional, to taste, for added heat)

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F to get started.

2-Prepare chicken: Flatten the thicker ends of the 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts by covering them with plastic wrap and gently pounding to ensure even thickness.

3-Season and bake chicken: Place the chicken in a baking dish, then season it with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper, and bake for 10 minutes.

4-Prepare sauce: While it bakes, whisk together the sauce: ⅔ cup clear honey, ¼ cup low sodium chicken broth (or water), 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce, 2 tablespoons minced garlic, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, ¼ teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon corn starch, along with red pepper flakes if you want extra spice.

5-Bake with sauce: After 10 minutes, remove the dish from the oven, pour the sauce over the chicken, and return it to the oven for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the thickest part reaches 165 degrees F.

6-Finish and rest: If the sauce hasn’t thickened, bake for a few more minutes. Once done, cover the dish and let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving.
