– 1/2 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
– 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

– 1 shallot, halved with leaves separated
– 1 teaspoon chili flakes
– 3/4 cup fresh mozzarella cheese
– 3/4 cup provolone cheese
– 1 small Meyer lemon or small regular lemon, thinly sliced
– Fresh basil leaves (a handful for topping plus extra for serving)
– Honey for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
1-Preheat your oven: Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F to get that perfect crispy crust.
2-On a lightly floured surface: stretch or roll out the dough into a 10-12 inch circle and transfer it to a baking sheet or parchment paper.
3-Lightly brush olive oil over the crust, then sprinkle grated garlic, shallots, parmesan cheese, toasted sesame seeds, thyme leaves, and chili flakes evenly over the dough. Drizzle honey if you’re using it for a sweet touch!
4-Add the mozzarella and provolone cheese evenly over the toppings for that gooey melt.
5-Arrange thin lemon slices over the cheese and top with torn basil leaves to lock in freshness.
6-Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbling it’s like magic in the oven!
7-Remove from oven and add two big handfuls of fresh basil on top before slicing and serving. It’s ready to enjoy in no time!
